PROPANE HEATERS

Question: The flame has gotten smaller over time.
Answer: Remove the orifice and clean ensuring there is no debris.
Answer: Check pressure at the tank.

Question: My flame will not stay lit
Answer: Clean corrosion at thermocouple-valve connection.
Answer: Ensure thermocouple wire is properly soldered at each end.
Answer: Replace Thermocouple.

PROPANE STOVES/COOK TOP

Question: The electronic ignition is not working.
Answer: Replace battery.
Answer: Ensure all the connections at the battery box are sound.
Answer: Replace battery box.

Question: The burner will not stay lit.
Answer: Clean out corrosion in thermocouple/valve connection.
Answer: Replace thermocouple.

Question: Oven is not matching the temperatures on the control panel.
Answer: Adjust the set screw on the oven valve.

Question: Oven temperature does not regulate.
Answer: Oven probe wire is kinked.
Answer: Oven valve set screw is not calibrated properly.

Question: Burners will not light.
Answer: Ensure there is propane to the stove.

Question: Stove tilts forward (Gimballed).
Answer: Engage the lock.

DIESEL HEATERS

Question: Not getting any fuel into the burner pot.
Answer: Ensure fuel is getting to the metering valve.
Answer: Ensure the copper line to the burner is clear.
Answer: Ensure there is no debris in the coupling at the bottom of the burner.

Question: Flame burns down in pot (burning lean).
Answer: Turn down fan or turn it off.
Answer: Turn fuel up in small increments.
Answer: Add the barometric damper option.
Answer: Adjust the barometric damper open in 1/4″ increments.

Question: Flame is burning sooty.
Answer: Turn on the fan.
Answer: Turn up the fan.
Answer: Close the barometric damper.
Answer: Add the barometric damper option.
Answer: Turn down the fuel in small increments.

Question: The knob on my valve won’t go up ramp.
Answer: High heat fuse has tripped – re-solder.
Answer: Replace high heat fuse.

DIESEL STOVES

Question: Regulator is freezing up.
Answer: Ensure 1lb bottle is positioned so that the screw end is higher than the bottom.
Answer: Ensure your 20lb tank is right side up.

Question: No Propane.
Answer: Ensure the tank has propane in it.
Answer: Make sure all hose connections are tight.
Answer: Ensure the orifice is free of debris.

Question: BBQ is not hot enough.
Answer: Adjust venturi to ensure correct air-fuel mix.
Answer: Check orifice for partial blockage.
Answer: Adjust regulator.
Answer: Replace regulator.

Question: Piezo ignitor not lighting burner.
Answer: Ensure the electrode is clean.
Answer: Ensure the electrode is in the proper position to provide a spark on the burner.
